1. We characterized the genome-wide DNA mutational, copy number aberration, transcriptomic, and DNA methylation patterns of human liver cancer, and identified some tumor-associated genes and potential drug targets including ARID1A, IRTKS, DLK1，LZP et al（ Gut, 2018; Hepatology, 2013，2014，2020; Oncogene 2022；Liver International，2022；JHO, 2021; CDD, 2021; Cancer lett. 2022; PLoS Genet. 2021; EBioMedicine. 2019; Nat Genet 2012). Won the first prize of natural science of Ministry of Education.
2. Systems biological studies on molecular basis for parasitism and pathogenicity of Schistosoma japonicum (Nature, 2009; Nat Genet 2003; PLoS Pathogens, 2006, MCP, 2009; Annu Rev Genomics Hum Genet, 2009). Won the second prize of National Natural Science Award, the first prize of Natural Science of the Ministry of Education, and the first prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award.

 

1. Focus on the identification of key genetic and epigenetic abnormalities involved in liver cancer and other tumors as well as clarification of the molecular and cellular mechanisms of these aberrations based on systems biology approaches and animal models;
2. Based on tumors (liver cancer) molecular markers and potential drug targets, development of the potential therapeutic approaches against cancers.
3. The establishing of new single cell technologies and novel bioinformatics tools for genome, epigenome and transcriptome for charactering the features of cancer cells and microenvironmental cells。
